Crab rug – Of course it happens that you spill or drop something sticky on the carpet. The key then is to deal with the stain or spill immediately. If you wait, there is a risk that the stain penetrates the carpet and then becomes more difficult to remove. If you want to be on the safe side, it is always a good idea to have gentle and powerful stain removers at home.
By acting quickly increases the chance to remove the stain completely and your crab rug saved which means no need to submit it to a carpet cleaning to get it cleaned. Remember that a stain remover should be gentle on fabrics so that it does not damage the fibers. Carefully scrape off as much as possible of the stain with a spoon. Dampen an undyed cotton cloth with a mild solvent and dab gently. Repeat until the stain has disappeared. Wipe dry.
Soak up as much as possible of the stain with clear paper towel or undyed cotton cloth. Dilute any residue with warm water and soak up the remnants of the stain. Take some lukewarm water and detergent on a cloth and dab gently. If the stain remains, try it with a weak solution of ammonia and dab again.
